My Honey Deuce

The Honey Deuce, the official cocktail of the US Open, is a refreshing mix of vodka, lemonade, and raspberry liqueur served with three melon balls. Since I couldn't make it to New York this year, nor did I have $22 to spend on a cocktail 😉, I decided to create my own version at home.
This Honey Deuce recipe is my take on the classic. Easy to make, perfectly chilled, and ideal for sipping on a hot day while watching the matches.

Equipment

  • Ice
  • Collins Glass
  • Melon Baller or Cookie Cutters

Ingredients

  • 2 oz Vodka
  • ¾ oz Raspberry Liqueur
  • 1 oz Lime juice
  • 4 oz Lemonade
  • Fresh honey dew melon pieces (you can use a melon baller for the traditional shape, or you can opt to use a fun cookie cutter)

Instructions

  • Add ice to a glass
  • Pour in raspberry liqueur, vodka, & lime juice
  • Top off with lemonade, as much or little as you like

Notes

As you can see, I opted to use my cookie cutters to make a cute airplane and whimsical circle melon cut outs.
